Rekeying It Yourself
Kwikset says SmartKey locks can be rekeyed with your working key, the tool in the packaging and a new key. It only works on Kwikset products. If the key is lost, you need a locksmith.

Usually, yes. The visit is charged once, so more locks in a single visit bring the cost per lock down.
